Meizu is working on its upcoming Meizu 16s smartphone which is said to be launched this month. As of now, the official launch date of the smartphone has not been announced by the company yet. Now if reports are to believed, Meizu 16s will be launching in China on April 23.
As per a Chinese leakster, the company will be announcing Meizu 16s on April 23 at Zhuhai Base Camp in China. It is to be noted that it is the same day when Lenovo will be also launching its Snapdragon 855 powered Lenovo Z6 Pro flagship phone.
Additionally, Meizu’s official flagship store on Tmall has listed a poster that states that a “Sparkling New Machine” will be on sale soon. The store will be warming up for the new product on April 21 and 22. This suggests that the company might be launching the Meizu 16s on April 23.
Meanwhile, some camera samples of the Meizu 16s have also surfaced online. The pictures have been clicked in the low-light condition using the Night mode function.
As for the key features, the Meizu 16s will feature a 6.2 inches full HD+ display with 1080 x 2232 pixels resolution. The smartphone will be powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU. It will have 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage.
The smartphone will come with a dual rear camera setup which will include 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor and 20-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, it will come with a 20-megapixel camera. It will come in in three colour variants – Black, White and Gradient Blue colours.
The phone will measure 151.9 x 73.4 x 7.65mm and it weighs 166 grams. Connectivity features will include Dual-Band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS and USB Type C. The smartphone will run Android 9.0 (Pie) with Flyme OS and it will be backed up by 3,540mAh battery with 24W fast charging.
