MediaTek has today announced the launch of its new MT6739 Processor in India at the India Mobile Congress 2017. The company has also announced Helio P23 Chipset and both of them will be available in India and global market by the end of this year.
Starting with the MediaTek MT6739 chipset, the SoC is targeted at entry-level to mid-range smartphones. The processor comes with a support of dual 4G VoLTE and Dual-SIM dual standby with either 4G + 4G or 4G + 3G. The chipset comes loaded with a 64-bit quad core with ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, which is clocked at 1.5GHz per core.
The MT6739 uses IMG PowerVR GE8100 GPU with support for up to 12440 x 720 HD+ displays with an aspect ratio of 18:9. On the imaging front, the chipset support dual-camera setup as well. The latest chipset uses WorldMode LTE Cat.4 modem.
MediaTek has also introduced Helio P23 SoC in India. To recall, the chipset was earlier announced in August this year. The chipset features octa cores with eight Cortex-A53 CPU, which are clocked at 2.3GHz. The Helio P23 support 24-megapixel of single camera sensor or an option of 13-megapixel + 13-megapixel camera sensors.
