Indian automobile maker, Mahindra & Mahindra has finally announced the launch of its TUV300 based TUV300 Plus multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). At a price tag of Rs 9.69 (ex-showroom), the MPV is only available in a single trim known as the P4.
To rival the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Renault Lodgy, the TUV300 Plus is the extended version of the standard TUV300, which is a sub-4 meter SUV. In terms of dimensions, the new variant is 401 mm longer at 4,400 mm, while the height and width remain the same at 1812 mm and 1835 mm.
The TUV300 Plus is powered by a new 2.2-litre mHawk120 diesel motors, which generates the maximum power of 120bhp and peak torque of 280 Nm. Further, replacing the 5-speed transmission, the Plus is now mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Other than this, the new vehicle now gets the 16-inch steel wheels against the 15-inch which can be seen on the standard TUV300.
In terms of features, it comes with the tiltable power steering, central locking, power windows, manual AC, internally adjustable ORVMs, two 12V charging sockets engine immobiliser, seat belt warning, door ajar warning and child locks. However, safety features like dual front airbags and ABS are missing.
