As reported earlier, LYF has launched its eighth smartphone under Water series. Named as LYF Water 8, the Android smartphone has been listed on LYF website for Rs 10,999 in Black and White color options.
The LYF Water 8 has a 5-inch AMOLED Display that has resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (high definition). A 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor, Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM powers this phone. For storage, it has 16GB of internal storage and if you run out of storage, you can add a micro SD card of up-to 128GB capacity in its expandable storage slot. However, it runs on the older Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
The Water 8 gets its power from a 2600 mAh Lithium-ion Polymer non-removable battery, which claims to deliver up-to 10 hours of talk-time and up-to 320 hours of standby time on 4G network. A 13-megapixel auto focus shooter is in its back while a 5-megapixel fixed focus selfie camera is in its front for selfies and video calls. LED flash lights are present in both its front and rear panels. Camera features include Digital Zoom 6X, ChromaFlashTM, OptiZoomTM, Exmor-R CMOS Image Sensor, Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), Touch to focus, White Balance, and ISO.
Further, the LYF Water 8 offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE (Video & HD Voice Call), WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Calling, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, a Micro USB Port 2.0, Gyroscope, Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, and E-Compass. The handset measures 142mm x 70.5mm x 7.0mm and weighs around 122 grams.
