LYF has announced the launch of LYF F1 Special Edition (where F1 stands for Future One). The smartphone is priced at Rs 13,999. LYF is offering free speaker and worth Rs 15,000 reliance retail vouchers for first 18 customers. Buyers can also avail 10 per cent cash back on Citibank cards and low cost options are also available. Further, LYF F1 comes with 2 years warranty and the Jio Welcome offer until 31 December 2016. The smartphone is available Black colour.

Curiously, LYF is yet to launch the standard version of LYF F1 and it is quite weird as the company choose to launch a special edition of a device before its normal version.

The LYF F1 Special Edition features a large 5.5-inch full (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 4. The smartphone is powered by a (1.52GHz + 1.21GHz) octa-core Snapdragon 617 (MSM8952) SoC, which is pared with Adreno 405 550MHz GPU, 3GB of and 32GB of internal storage. The phone also comes with a 128GB micro card slot.

The Marshmallow 6.0.1 based LYF F1 has a 3200 mAh non removable battery, which claims of deliver talktime of up-to 4.2 hours and standby time of up-to 350 hours on network. On camera front, LYF F1 has a 16-megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Dual LED flash on its back, and an 8-megapixel auto-focus front-facing camera with Single LED flash for selfies and video calling. The camera features include 8x, Geo-tagging, Face detection, HDR, Panorama, Wink to Click, Multiple focus, Refocus, ChromaFlash, OptiZoom, True Portrait, and Low Light Photography & Video.

Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, a port, Gyroscope, Ambient Light, Accelerometer, Proximity, E-Compass, Motion, and Gesture sensor. The handset measures 155.5mmx77.6mmx7.9 mm and weighs 153 grams.
