Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has decent features but LG X Screen is unique.

LG X Screen has just been launched in India at a very competitive price of Rs 12,990. At the same price, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is available. So let’s check out which one of them offers the maximum value for money.

Design and Display

With additional second screen, the LG X Screen has definitely an X factor. The secondary 1.76-inch is just above the main 4.93 inch screen. The main 4.93-inch screen comes with 1280×720 pixels (HD) while its secondary 1.76-inch display has 520 x 80 pixels resolution. The secondary display remains ‘always on’ that shows notifications such as incoming calls and messages. You can also customize it to display your name, motto and any personal message that will appear all the time.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a slightly bigger 5.2 inch primary screen but has no secondary display. The 5.2 inch S Amoled screen has high definition resolution as well.

The J5 (2016) measures 72.3×145.8×8.1 mm and weighs 158 grams while the LG X Screen has dimension of 142.6 x 71.8 x 7.1mm and weight of 120 grams.

Battery

The LG X Screen’s lightweight can be attributed to its smaller display and battery of 2300 capacity. With this battery, the phone promises up to 780 minutes of talktime and 120 hours of standby on network.

On the other hand, the Samsung smartphone has a bigger 3100 mAh battery (removable) that promises 21 hours of 3G talktime.

Chipset and Storage

The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has the 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm MSM8916 (Snapdragon 410) which is assisted by Adreno 305 and 2 RAM. The combination should be enough to run the Marshmallow based J5.

The LG X Screen has exactly the same comprising of 2 GB RAM, Snapdragon 410 processor as well as Android Marshmallow operating system.

The LG smartphone has 16 GB of internal storage and it comes with an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro card of up to 2 TB. The Samsung J5 also has 16 GB of internal storage and its expandable storage slot can hold a micro SD card of up to 128 GB.

Camera

The Samsung handset has a 13 rear camera that comes with CMOS sensor, f1.9 aperture, auto focus, panorama and other features. For selfies, it has a 5 megapixel camera.

Both the phones come with dual with dual standby feature. They also offer connectivity. Besides, both the phones offer 4.1, WiFi (b/g/n), NFC, WiFi Hotspot and port.

Apart from a bigger display and a battery, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has no other advantage over the LG X Screen. On the other hand, LG X Screen, apart from a better looking front camera, has an additional screen that increases its appeal much more.
