As we are heading towards the launch of LG V30, rumours and speculation about the upcoming device is reaching new highs. Now, according to the latest report, the flagship will come with a 6.0-inch display and it will feature a new floating bar instead of a secondary screen.
According to a report by Android Authority, citing some internal source, the LG V30 will ditch the secondary screen and instead will utilise new ‘floating bar’. For the unintended, the secondary screen was the main highlight of the V series, which is basically a small display that sits above the main display allowing users to access notifications and shortcuts. The report highlights that LG is planning to put a floating bar on V30’s interface, which will provide quick access to shortcuts and even notifications. However, the source could not confirm the exact feature of the floating bar.
Further, the report confirms that LG V30 will come with a 6.0-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display and it will be the first device from LG’s camp to come with an OLED screen. The display will retain the aspect ratio of 18:9, similar to what we have seen in LG G6. However, the display used in V30 will come with rounded corners and it will also support HDR 10 and Google Daydream.
The LG V30 will be the first device to feature a camera with a f/1.6 Aperture along with a Crystal Clear Glass lens and improved transmittance, the report adds. This is in line with the previous report that suggested the same. Further, some previous suggest the large aperture will be used in “normal” lens and the upcoming smartphone will take leverage of a normal and Wide-Angle lens, similar to what we have seen in LG G6.
Other than this, the report says that the V30 with come with a dedicated Quad DAC for an upgraded audio experience and the brand might collaborate with B&O for the same, though this could be meant for specific markets only.
Recollecting some previous rumours, the LG V30 is all set to launch on August 31 at IFA 2017, which will take place in Berlin. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 1.9GHz. The device will be backed by a 4GB of RAM and it is reported that it will come with a 64GB of internal storage.
