LG will unveil its latest gram laptops with latest hardware and design at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018, in Las Vegas. The laptops will be available in the US market starting next month with markets to follow soon thereafter.
The 2018 Gram laptops will feature a smaller form factor with wider screens. The series will be available in 13.3-inch (13Z980), 14-inch (14Z980 and 15.6-inch (15Z980) models and all them will feature LG’s IPS In-Cell touch technology.
All the versions will be powered by the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7 and Core i5 processors along with SSD storage. Further, there would be a second SSD drive slot so that users can expand the storage. The devices will feature 72Wh battery. The company says that batteries on the 13.3-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch models can last up to 22.5, 21.5 and 19 hours, respectively.
All the models will also feature nano carbon magnesium full metal alloy body, which is 20 percent more durable as compared to traditional magnesium products. The 2018 Gram laptops have passed seven U.S. military MIL-STD 810G durability tests for resistance to impact, pressure and temperature.

Moving on, the laptops feature a backlit keyboard and precision touchpad. The series also comes equipped with DTS Headphone X that provides the multi-channel sound of up to 11.1 channels for 1.5W hi-fi surround sound. The upgraded fan is quieter and emits less heat than before. The laptops will also feature fingerprint reader and Thunderbolt 3 port as well. However, rest of the information about the pricing and other hardware specifications are not known at the moment.
