With the Consumer Electronic Show starting today, the rumour mill has been up and running. The latest news doing rounds is that Korean handset giant LG Mobiles is gearing up to launch two new smartphone devices.
These two are to be the LG Revolution and LG Optimus Black, according to tech blog Engadget. While Revolution is an LTE handset, LG’s Optimus Black just has a powerful display.
According to the technology blog, Optimus Black comes with a 4 inch touchscreen and promises “Power of light housed within an innovatively slim smartphone with the best display clarity”.
The “Power of light” bit sounds funny because that particular power is ubiquitous among smartphones. How else does a smartphone work? One is tempted to ask.
Nevertheless, it is evident that LG does indeed have something it is quite pleased with, up its sleeve. Optimus Black will be 9.2 mm thick and, according to Engadget, will have the world’s first 2 mega Pixel front camera in a smartphone. Cameras of this caliber are often found on the front of tablets.
