In the last few months LG has not launched any mid segment smartphone in India and that is set to change in January as the company plans to launch a couple of smartphones under its Optimus series then.
Amit Gujral, general manager of mobiles at LG Electronics, said to The Mobile Indian, “In the last few months we have launched LG G2 and unveiled LG G Flex which are high end smartphones, but that doesn’t mean we have given up on entry and mid-level smartphones.”
He added, “In January we plan to launch a couple of smartphones under Optimus Series in the price bracket of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20, 000. Previously, LG Optimus series smartphones have got a warm reception from consumers.”
He didn’t share any particulars about the device but said that the smartphones LG plans to launch will be at par with handsets available in the market.
