Last month, LG and Qualcomm announced the alliance for working on next generation LG device. Following that, the images of the purported LG Optimus 2 smartphone surfaced the web. Now Korean News Daily Hankyung reported that LG will pack 3 GB RAM for enhanced performance. Not only that, the company also plans to include LTE-Advanced for faster data connectivity.
LG is set to announce Optimus G2 smartphone sometime later this year. This new smartphone will feature 5-inch touchscreen display with full 1080p HD resolution. This device will be powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 mobile chipset. Along with this chipset, LG is rumored to add 3 GB RAM in the smartphone for best performance.
Other detail rumored about the device is that it will feature LTE-Advanced support for faster Mobile Data connection.
LG Optimus G2 flagship smartphone is set to compete with Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone with similar specifications but eight-core Samsung Exynos chip or quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip.
LG aims to be the first company to boast about the smartphone with 3 GB Low Power Dynamic Data Range 3 (LPDDR3) RAM packed inside. Smartphones with 4 GB RAM are expected to be available next year 2014.
