LG has announced the launch a new tablet, called G Pad, in South Korea. The LG G Pad is a WiFi only tablet and comes with a full HD 8.3 inch display. The tablet has been priced at 550000 Won or Rs 32,000 approximately. LG has also announced to make it available in 30 countries including India by the end of this year.
The LG G Pad features an 8.3-inch display with a striking full HD display and it is one of the brightest displays in its category with 350 nits of brightness. Along with that LG will power the tablet with the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 mobile Processor with Adreno graphics chip. For smoother performance, LG has added 2 GB RAM to the tablet along with 16 GB internal storage. There is also a SD card slot available with which users can expand the storage by another 64 GB.
The LG Optimus G Pad is offered in a WiFI only connectivity variant with Bluetooth for wireless connectivity for peripherals. Out of the box the LG G Pad will feature Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 operating system along with LG’s custom user interface, layered on top of it.
The LG G Pad comes with a 5 Megapixel camera at the back featuring Autofocus and smile detection as well. The camera is also capable of video recording with full HD 1080p Resolution at 30 frames per second. At the front there is a 1.3 megapixel fixed focus camera for video calling as well.
