LG K8, K5 mid-range smartphones goes official

Both the smartphones run on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system.

LG has officially announced the release of two new smartphones under its K series in Seoul, which are dubbed as LG K8 and LG K5. Last month, LG K8 was found listed on LG’s official Hungarian website. However, the Korean company has not revealed price of either K5 or K8.
LG K8
The LG K8 features a 5-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS display with In-cell Touch technology, and 2.5D Arc Glass cover. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) processor. The phone will have 1.5GB RAM or 1 GB of RAM depending on the region. Besides, the K8 has Mali-T720 GPU, 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system and a 2125 removable battery.

The smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable via a micro SD card. The K8 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. Further, the smartphone offers 4G, 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b,g,n), NFC, GPS, and a 2.0. The handset measures 146.0 x 71.5 x 8.7 mm. The smartphone comes in Gold, Indigo and White colour options and will be first made available in Asia, Africa, Middle East, CIS and Latin America.

On the other hand, the LG K5 features a 5-inch FWVGA (854x480p) display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, which is paired with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage, with option to expand the storage via card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system and is backed up by a 1900mAh removable battery.
LG K5
The K5 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. Further, the smartphone offers 3G, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi (802.11 b,g,n), GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0. The handset measures 145 x 71.6 x 8.9mm. The smartphone comes in Gold, Silver and Titan colours and will be first made available in Europe, CIS and Latin America. Later, the LG K5 will be sold as LG Q6 in Mexico.
