LG is working on another curved display and self-healing back trotting smartphone, dubbed as G Flex 2, according to EVLeaks. The technology focused Twitter account also claimed that the purported LG G Flex 2 will be launched in the 1st quarter of next year (2015) and will feature more than self-healing plastic. The details on the LG G Flex 2 are very scarce and we believe that the phone will mostly get an upgrade at the hardware level.
LG G Flex featured a 6-inch Curved Plastic OLED with HD resolution. We believe that the G Flex 2 will at least feature Full HD resolution considering most flagship smartphones are getting prime variant with quad HD resolution. The G Flex packed a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and we estimate that the G Flex 2 will feature another top of the line Snapdragon 805/810 mobile processor. LG had packed 3500 mAh battery inside the G Flex and thus we can hope for the same or higher capacity battery inside it.
The G Flex was mostly about the curves and self healing back which however was limited only to certain environment as well as temperatures. With the information teased, we believe LG will offer something more than that. Check out our review of the LG G Flex here.
LG G Flex 2 is expected to arrive with the Android Silver which has been planned to be released in February 2015.
