LG announces 5 inch Optimus G Pro smartphone

The phone features 1.7 GHz Quad core Snapdragon processor, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB inbuilt memory.

LG has announced yet another Optimus G smartphone, called the Optimus G Pro which comes with a 5 inch full display (1080p). It is to be noted that LG’s Optimus G is also set to be launched in India this February.

The LG Optimus G Pro, despite having a large screen, has a very slim profile, measuring 139 mm x 70 mm x 10 mm. This means it is 8 mm shorter, 6.5 mm less wider than Micromax Canvas II which though has a 5 inch screen measures 147 x 76.5 x 9.7 mm.

The LG Optimus G Pro weighs only 160 grams. The handset will be available in Platinum White and Indigo Black, and runs 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Inside the LG Optimus G Pro, there is a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2 of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage space. There’s a micro slot for further expansion to accompany the ample internal storage. The battery is a high-capacity 3,000 mAh.

All the other goodies you’d expect are there in the Optimus G Pro including 4.0, infrared, NFC, and mobile wallet and also the high speed LTE. There is no word on launch in other countries, however the phone has already been launched in Japan.
