As anticipated, Lenovo’s sub brand, ZUK has finally launched its much hyped ZUK Edge smartphone in China today. The smartphone comes in two variants – 4GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage which is priced at Yuan 2299 (approximately Rs 22,461), and 6GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage which costs Yuan 2499 (approximately Rs 24,416). The smartphone is now up for pre-order and sale will start on 1st January 2017. One can expect the delivery of smartphone in mid-January. The smartphone comes in Ceramic white and Titanium crystal black colour options.
Jumping straight to the specifications, the Lenovo ZUK Edge features a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. It is powered by a 2.35 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, along with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, which is wrapped under ZUI 2.5, which is the latest version of ZUK’s user interface. It is backed up by a 3100mAh battery with Quick charge 3.0 support. The smartphone also houses a UTouch fingerprint scanner, which is embedded on its home button. The company claims that fingerprint scanner can unlock the phone in just 0.9 sec.
Moving on to the camera department, the ZUK Edge sports a 13-megapixel shooter with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, LED flash on the back and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM (Dual standby), 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, a USB3.1 Type C port, Accelerometer, Ambient Light, Digital Compass, Gyroscope, Heart rate sensor and Proximity. The handset measures 142.9 x 74.5 x 7.68 mm and weighs 160 grams.
