Lenovo ZUK Edge flagship smartphone in works

The smartphone might come in two colour options- White and black.

Lenovo’s sub brand, ZUK, is working on its latest flagship smartphone with high-end specifications, which is dubbed as Lenovo ZUK Edge. Chang Cheng, the head of ZUK, posted an image/poster on its Weibo account, revealing the name of the smartphone.

As per image, it looks like ZUK smartphone will come in two colour options- White and black. Other than this no information is shared by Chang Cheng. However, last month a ZUK branded smartphone model number Z2151 was found listed on Chinese certification site, TENAA, which as per reports could be none other than Lenovo ZUK Edge.

As per listing, the upcoming ZUK Z2151 aka ZUK Edge phone features a 5.5-inch display with resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. It is powered by a 2.35 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The phone sports a 13-megapixel shooter with LED flash on the back and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Further, as per listing the ZUK (Z2151) aka ZUK Edge smartphone is backed up by a 3000 mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The handset measures 142.9 x 74.5 x 7.68 mm and weighs 160 grams.

In the month of September, Lenovo launched ZUK Z2 in India as Lenovo Z2 Plus. The Lenovo Z2 Plus comes in two variants – one with 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal memory at Rs 17,999 while another has 4GB RAM and 64 GB of storage at Rs 19,999. It offers 5-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 2.15 quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, and a 3,500 mAh battery. Further, it comes with a 13-megapixel main shooter with LED flash and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers Dual SIM, with VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Type C.
