Lenovo Z5 Pro announced with Snapdragon 710, slider front camera, all-screen display

Made as the first all-screen phone designed with a sliding mechanism and an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Lenovo Z5 Pro features 6.39-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Lenovo claims that the screen-to-body ratio amounts to 95.06 percent.

Lenovo has finally made the Lenovo Z5 Pro smartphone official. The smartphone comes with an all-screen display with the front moved to a sliding unit that pops out from the back and is powered by mid-level specifications and an in-display fingerprint sensor on the front. The Lenovo Z5 Pro will be available for purchase for an asking price of 1,998 Yuan (approx. Rs 21,150).

Made as the first all-screen phone designed with a sliding mechanism and an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Lenovo Z5 Pro features 6.39-inch FHD+ display with a of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Lenovo claims that the device with no-nonsense notch or sensors on the display amounts to 95.06 percent of screen-to-body ratio.

The display is HDR 10 compliant and also features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Other design elements include a back panel which is made from glass and is curved on all sides with a slider unit that employs six double helix springs.

Lenovo Z5 Pro

The slider features the dual front-facing 16MP (f/2.2 aperture) + 8MP (infrared) cameras, an sensor, infrared light and proximity sensor. The camera comes with features including a beauty mode for selfies and face recognition for detecting a face even under low light conditions.

The main camera comprises of a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor and a 16MP Sony IMX519 snapper with dual f/1.8 lens, autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, videos, 1080p videos at 120 fps, HDR, PDAF, super night scene mode and AI scene recognition.

For the internals, the Lenovo Z5 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 710 AIE chip with 6GB and up to 128GB storage. The device comes with Oreo pre-installed and Lenovo’s ZUI 10.0 on top and is backed by a 3,350mAh battery that’s bundled with support for 18W fast charging.

Connectivity options include VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 2×2 MIMO, 5.0, NFC, and USB-C. The lack of a jack is compromised with a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter.

The Lenovo Z5 Pro is available in Black colour for asking prices of 1,998 yuan (approx. Rs 21,150) and 2,998 yuan (approx. Rs 31,700) for the 64GB and 128GB version respectively.
