Lenovo India has released a teaser on its Twitter handle, suggesting launch of a new handset in the Indian market. Though it did not reveal the name, reports indicate towards Lenovo Zuk Z2. As per media reports, the phone will be launched as Lenovo Z2 Plus. However, reports are not clear why Lenovo would launch the Zuk Z2 under a different name. Also, there is no information about the launch date.
Lenovo tweeted: “Wait for it….. NOT! #FastForward” with a caption, “Impatience is a virtue #FastForwardâ€. Behind the caption, there is also an imprint of the letter Z which suggests it could be Lenovo Zuk Z2.
Lenovo had launched Lenovo Zuk Z2 in China in May this year for 1,799 Yuan which is approximately Rs 18,370.
The Lenovo Zuk Z2 has a 5-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It is powered by the 2.15 quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor and Adreno 530 GPU. The phone has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. However, it lacks expandable storage slot. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is backed up by a 3,500 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The device also features a fingerprint sensor on the home button which as per the company can unlock the phone in under 0.1 seconds.
The Lenovo Zuk Z2 flaunts a 13-megapixel shooter on the back with LED flash, f/2.2 Aperture and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the connectivity front, the device offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type C. The handset measures 141.65 x 68.88 x 8.45 mm and weighs 149 grams.
