Lenovo Vibe Z with 5.5-inch full HD display launched for Rs 35,999 in India

Lenovo has introduced its top of the line smartphone - Vibe Z - in India for Rs 35,999. The Vibe Z features 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 mobile chipset.

Lenovo has unveiled a new top of the line smartphone – Vibe Z – at a media event in Bangalore. It is expected to hit the retail stores by the end of this month for Rs 35,999. The new Vibe Z extends Lenovo’s premium designer series – Vibe. Lenovo had introduced the Vibe X with full 1080p HD display in India for Rs 25,999.

The new Vibe Z features the same textured pattern bearing back panel used in the Vibe X. The 7.9 mm thick Vibe Z is powered by a 2.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core and Adreno 330 GPU. Lenovo has used 2 GB RAM to make this hardware run on the 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

Lenovo Vibe Z has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1920×1080 full HD resolution support. This display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. At the rear, Vibe Z flaunts a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus. This 13 megapixel camera is capable to record full HD videos and comes with regular features such as Face Detection. Video calls can be enjoyed with its 5 megapixel front camera.

By default, the Vibe Z offers 16 GB on-board storage and there is no memory card slot. The Vibe Z promises high speed mobile internet with HSPA and WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) support integrated. Other features of the phone include Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio, and GPS with support. Lenovo has packed a 3000 mAh non-removable battery inside the Vibe Z.

The Vibe Z competes on the grounds of pricing and specifications with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, LG G2, Gionee Elife E7, Sony Xperia Z1 and Google Nexus 5.
