Lenovo has started rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Vibe X and Vibe Z smartphones. The new Android 4.4 KitKat update will be released in phase wise manner. Consumers are recommended to connect either of the phones over Wi-Fi and then download the update.
Lenovo Vibe X features 6.9 mm thick profile and packs 5-inch full HD display and powered by quad-core 1.5 Ghz MediaTek MT6589T mobile chipset. This hardware is paired with 2 GB RAM and is offered in 16 GB and 32 GB version for India. The Vibe X has a 13 megapixel camera with Autofocus and LED flash to record full HD Video. In the front is a 5 megapixel camera for video calling and self portraits. Lenovo has packed 2000 mAh battery and this phone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version with some Lenovo UI optimizations. Vibe X will jump directly from Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to Android 4.4 KitKat. Lenovo has slashed the price of Vibe X to Rs 22,999.
The Vibe Z features 5.5-inch large full HD display and is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 mobile processor. Lenovo has placed 2 GB RAM and offers only 16 GB on-board storage. There is no Memory card slot though. This phone has 13 megapixel camera at the back with autofocus and LED flash for recording full HD videos. Lenovo has packed massive 3000 mAh battery inside the phone to power this handset. The Vibe Z is being sold in India for about Rs 34,999.
