Lenovo is gearing up to launch a new smartphone under its Note series pretty in India. The brand is expected to launch the device in the first week of August, sources close to the development told The Mobile Indian.
The brand has also started rolling out teasers of the upcoming smartphone on its official Facebook page. The company has recently posted a teaser video along with a post which reads, “The next #KillerNote will be uncaged soon! Gear up to #KillTheOrdinary boundaries of your smartphone.” The hashtag implies that the smartphone will be launched under its popular Note series and it post a direct competition to Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. However, details about the upcoming smartphone are grim at the moment.
Lenovo has not launched any smartphone under its own branding, though the company has introduced a slew of products under Motorola. The last smartphone which was launched by the company was Lenovo P2 in January this year. The phone recently received some interesting price cut as well.

The device comes in two variants – the one with 3 GB RAM is now priced at Rs 13,499 as against its original price of Rs 16,999, while the 4 GB RAM is now retailing at Rs 15,499 after getting a price cut of Rs 2,500. The 4GB RAM variant was initially launched at Rs 17,999. The smartphone is available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart in Champagne Gold and Graphite Grey colours.
The Lenovo P2 has a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080p) AMOLED Display with 401ppi as Pixel density. It is armed with a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. It comes in 3GB/4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 128 GB expandable memory via a micro SD card in India.
