Lenovo Tab S8 tablet with quad-core Intel Atom processor announced

Lenovo has announced new 8-inch full HD IPS display bearing TAB S8 tablet is powered by quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 mobile chipset and measures 7.9 mm thick.

Lenovo has announced a new slim tablet – Tab S8 – with Intel Atom mobile chipset. Lenovo’s new Tab S8 tablet is 7.9 mm thick and weights 299 grams. This 8-inch display bearing tablet is set to compete with the Apple iPad mini, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Google Nexus 7 tablets.

The Lenovo Tab S8 offers an 8-inch IPS touchscreen with 1920 x 1200 pixel and support for 10-point multi-touch. The Tab S8 is powered by quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 mobile which is paired with 2 GB RAM. The Intel Atom mobile chipset is also enhanced with the Intel Burst Performance Technology to dynamically adjust the processing power based on the tasks in order to optimize the battery life. This basic configuration is worthy enough to drive the 4.4 KitKat with bunch of pre-loaded Lenovo Apps out of the box.

The Tab S8 offers 16 GB on-board storage for loading apps and saving multimedia files. Lenovo has placed an 8 camera with auto-focus at its rear for capturing high quality images and even record videos. In the front, the tablet has a 1.6 megapixel camera for holding video calls.

Lenovo has placed dual front speakers that are enhanced by Dolby Audio technology for best possible output. Network Connectivity is taken care of with the optional LTE support and usual WiFi support. Lenovo has also placed the 4.0 in the tablet.

Lenovo Tab S8 is powered by a 4290 battery which promises run time of about 7 hours. The Tab S8 being 7.9 mm thin does offer impressive design and looks. Lenovo plans to offer Tab S8 in Ebony, Blue, Canary Yellow and White color options which might be region specific.

Lenovo TAB S8 is priced internationally at $199 (Rs 12,095 approx.) and we hope it to be priced less than Rs 15,000 in India.
