Smartphones with 5000 mAh battery are not new. Gionee has done that twice with its Marathon M4 and M3 smartphones. India’s very own Celkon also sometime back brought the Millennia Q5K with a 5000 mAh battery. Various other manufacturers, both desi and foreign, brought smartphones with 3000 or 4000 mAh battery including Lenovo.
Now a new Lenovo handset, called Vibe P1, was spotted on a Chinese retailer’s website featuring a massive 5000 mAh battery for $309.99 or RS 20,468 approximately. As per the listing , the smartphone has the latest Android 5.1 operating system with Vibe UI. It has 3 GB RAM, 16 GB inbuilt storage, and the Snapdragon 615 octa core processor.
The Lenovo Vibe P1 has dual SIM with dual standby and 4G connectivity. Its 5.5 inch IPS display offer full high definition resolution (1920×1080 pixels). Besides, the phone offers expandable storage slot with 128 GB capacity. It offers a 5 Megapixel rear camera and a 13 megapixel rear camera.
Other than that the Lenovo Vibe P1 has WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and Micro USB port with OTG functionality. The listing though says nothing about the output of its 5000 mAh battery.
There’s no word yet from Lenovo about the launch of Vibe P1 in India.
