As reported earlier, Lenovo unveiled Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m with massive batteries, at the ongoing IFA event in Berlin, Germany. Lenovo Vibe P1 has a 5000mAh battery and Lenovo Vibe P1m comes with 4000mAh battery pack.
Lenovo Vibe P1 is priced at $279 (approx Rs 18,473) and will be available in market from early October. As far as, Vibe P1m is concerned it will be available for $159 (approx Rs 10,528) in mid-September. Lenovo has said in a statement that the availability timelines is not country specific and the devices will be made available across all the market wherever Lenovo is selling smartphones at the same time. So, one can expect the device to come pretty soon in India as well.
This is not the first time that a handset player has launched a smartphones with 5000 mAh battery. In the recent past, Gionee has done that twice with its Marathon M4 and M3 smartphones.
The Lenovo Vibe P1 features 5-5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with Gorillia Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 615 1.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU, the handset offers 32 GB of in-built memory which is further expandable to 128 GB via a micro SD card. The handset runs on latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
Vibe P1 sports a 13 megapixel auto-focus rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera as well. This Dual-SIM smartphone supports 4G, NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with AGPS/GLONASS. The handset measures 152.9 x 75.6 x 4.6-9.9 mm and weighs189 grams.
Lenovo has also added fingerprint scanner in Vibe P1. It is embedded on the Home button and can be used for unlocking the device similar to OnePlus 2 and Apple iPhone 6. The company has also claimed that if a user charges P1 for five minutes they can get 2.8 of Talk time if they switch of the data connectivity.
On the other hand, Lenovo Vibe P1m features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display. It is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735P 1GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, the handset offers 16 GB of in-built memory which is further expandable to 32GB via micro SD card. The handset runs on latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
In Vibe P1m, Lenovo has claimed that their Quick Charge option will enable a user to get a 2 .45 hours of talktime in just 15 minutes of charging and this smartphone has an advanced nano coating on top of it to prevent damage from accidental splashes and spills.
Lenovo Vibe P1m sports a 8 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. This dual nano SIM smartphone supports 4G. The handset measures 141 x 71.8 x 9.3 mm and weighs148 grams.
