Leica, a known name in the camera industry, has today announced its latest compact camera, C -Lux. The camera is priced around Rs 85,000 and it will go on sale from mid-August at Leica’s only official store in New Delhi.
The company has told The Mobile Indian that it will open another official store in the country by next year. The store will be opened in Mumbai. Coming to the camera, the major highlight of this device is the 15x Optical Zoom with focal lengths ranging from 24 to 360mm (35mm equivalent). To recall, the camera was launched globally in June this year.
The Leica C-Lux is equipped with a 1-inch 20-megapixel MOS sensor with a Leica DC Vario-Elmar 3.3 – 6.4/8.8-132mm ASPH zoom lens. The camera offers Aperture range from f/3.3 aperture to an f/8.0 aperture. The camera has an ISO sensitivity of 25600, which means that one can take almost clear shots in low-light conditions.
The camera has 49 Autofocus points and it has an ability to capture up to 10 frames per second. For videos, the camera can shoot go up to 4K resolution at 30 FPS for a maximum of 15 minutes. It features 5-axis stabilization, which will help in compensating shakes and blurs.
The camera has a 2.33-megapixel electronic viewfinder, which the company claims that it can cover 100 per cent of the image field. There is a 3-inch touchscreen LCD display with a repellent coating that prevents fingerprints. The screen comes loaded with 1,240,000 dots resolution. The camera supports Bluetooth and WiFi which allow you to transfer pictures and videos and be controlled wirelessly. Users can download the Leica C-Lux App that is available on both iOS and Android platforms.
