Coolpad has confirmed earlier reports that it is working with LeEco on a smartphone. While acknowledging this on its official Weibo account, Coolpad has also revealed the name of the smartphone .
In a teaser, Coolpad revealed that the smartphone will be named as Coolpad Cool 1. The teaser reads: ” Hey, I’ m Cool 1″. This teaser also solved the equation posted on the company’s earlier teaser, which reads “Coolpad + LeEco = Something Cool Coming Soon”. Now we know the answer –> Coolpad + LeEco = Cool 1.
Apart from the teasers, an image of the alleged smartphone has been leaked online, giving us a glimpse of the phone’s back panel that confirms Dual camera setup in the device.
As per reports, the upcoming smartphone will have a metal unibody design (the image also confirms the same). It is expected to have a 5.5-inch display with 2K (QHD) resolution, It would be armed by a Snapdragon 820 processor, which will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be backed up by a 3500 mAh battery and will also house a fingerprint scanner, which will be integrated at the back panel of the phone.
Further, reports suggest that the smartphone will boot both EUI OS and CoolUI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and expected to be unveiled on August 10.
