Microsoft is expected to announce the new series of 8 inch Windows 8 tablets anytime soon. Meanwhile, Acer’s new W3-810 tablet’s photos and specifications were spotted by Liliputing on the Acer Finland website.
Acer will load the W3-810 with an Intel Atom Z2760 mobile processor and Intel GMA 3650 graphics chip. The 8.1 inch display of this tablet sports 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Under the chassis, the tablet packs 64 GB SSD that aids in faster boots and overall operating system performance with 2 GB RAM. Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, micro HDMI, a micro USB 2.0 port and packs a battery that promises 8 hours of battery life.
Acer has added a 2 Megapixel camera at the back and 2 megapixel camera in the front. This tablet measures less than half an inch of thickness. Acer will also pair a dockable keyboard accessory, which is bigger than the tablet itself.
The Acer W3-810 tablet is expected to launch anytime soon at Rs 20,900 ($380 approx.) without keyboard dock. The best part is that the price includes a Windows 8 Pro license as well.
