Letv has confirmed an earlier report of The Mobile Indian that it is indeed entering into the Indian market. The Chinese handset maker held a preview event on December 26 in Bangalore where it showcased the Le Max and confirmed its launch in India on January 5. Le Max will be launched in an event in New Delhi, probably along with Le 1S.
The Le Max features a huge 6.33 inch display with QHD (1440×2560 pixels) resolution. It runs on Android 5. 1 operating system and is powered by a 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC which is coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It has a fingerprint scanner as well.
Le Max features a 21-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation, Sony IMX230 sensor, dual-LED flash, and an f/2.0 aperture lens, alongside a 4-UltraPixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It may come in two variants – 64GB and 128GB internal memory. It will come with a 3400mAh battery along with support for 4G connectivity. The phone measures 167.1×83.5×8.95mm and weighs 204grams.
Le1S, which is also expected to be launched alongside Le Max, features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display. The smartphone is powered by Mediatek flagship Helio X10 Turbo 2.2GHz octa-core Processor which is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The Le 1s runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system with the EUI 5.5 custom user interface on top of it. The smartphone comes with a reversible USB Type-C with fast-charging SpeedVolt technology and gets the power from 3000 mAh battery. On the camera from, the smartphone offers 13-megapixel rear auto-focus camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. The company claims that the camera lock focusses in just 0.09 seconds. The Dual-SIM handset measures 151.1 x 74.2 x 7.5 mm and weighs 169 grams.
