Lava International Ltd. has unveiled a new quad-core phablet – Iris 550Q. Joining the Lava Iris series, the new Iris 550Q is a large screen smartphone powered by a quad-core 1.2 Ghz mobile processor and loaded with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Lava Iris 550Q phablet will be available across retail stores for best buy price of Rs 13,000 from this week onwards.
Lava is out to compete in the sub Rs 15,000 segment by introducing yet another Iris series smartphone in the league. The new Iris 550Q joins the existing crowded phablet segment with 5.5-inch display made using the One Glass Solution technology. The Iris 550Q carries the design of the Iris Pro 30 smartphone on the front side. Three capacitive Menu buttons lie in the front.
The Iris 550Q is powered by a quad-core 1.2 Ghz mobile processor armed with 1 GB RAM to smoothly run the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version. At the back rests 8 megapixel camera comprising of the BSI sensor for decent quality still images and capability to record full 1080p HD videos. There is a front facing 2 megapixel camera for video calls. Lava has offered 4 GB on-board storage and memory slot to add up to 32 GB micro SD card.
Lava promises about 10 hours of Talk time with the 2600 mAh battery packed inside the Iris 550Q.
