Know your MPs with Lok Sabha app

It has a list of past and present members of Lok Sabha starting from the first Lok Sabha to the 16th, which was elected in 2009.

With the Monsoon Session starting yesterday, heads are again turned to the Indian Parliament where our elected leaders will hold debates on various topics and issues.

So if you are one of those who are inquisitive about knowing details about the elected members of Parliament then here is an application that can be of your interest.

Lok Sabha, an made by KCP Technologies for phones, has a list of present and past Lok Sabhas &#151 starting with the 1st Lok Sabha of 1951 to the current 16th that was elected in 2009.

It provides brief information about the MPs such as name, constituency, state and category.

One can also search about a particular MP, irrespective of the year in which he was elected.

The free application has four sections &#151 Current, History, Search and About.

In the current section you can get information about MPs of the present Lok Sabh &#151 in this case the 16th . It shows names of 543 members, which is the total strength of the lower house at present. When tapped on a name it shows information about the person as mentioned above.

You can also search the same info about past MPs in the last sixty years from 1951-2011.

Suppose you just know the name of an MP, past or present, but do now know in which year he/she was elected, then do not worry. In the search section, you can just put his name and voila you will have his/her info.

In the Lok Sabha app, you can also search MPs from a constituency. For example, you want to know about all the MPs selected from Patna constituency, then you just have to enter Patna in the search section, and upon tapping the search button, it will show you all the MPs selected from the Patna constituency till now and their information.

Similarly, you can know about MPs by just their name, constituency, state, party, category (General, OBC etc) or by the year when they were elected.

The vast information that the app sought to provide the users is really without any doubt comes handy and is thus highly recommended for journalists, quiz enthusiasts and the political observers.
