Kingston unveiled encrypted USB Flash drive with built-in keypad

DataTraveler 2000 (DT2000) will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage variants.

Kingston has unveiled ites new encrypted Flash drive, DataTraveler 2000 (DT2000). The DataTraveler 2000 comes with an aluminum cover to protect the drive from everyday elements such as water and dust. The drive will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants with three-year warranty and free live technical support.

DataTraveler 2000 offers hardware and PIN protection with access through its built-in keypad. The keyboard allows you to lock the drive with (word or number combination) and it is self-destruct after 10 invalid login attempts. It also comes with auto-lock feature which gets activated when the drive is removed from any device.

The drive is compatible with multiple devices and operating systems and features hardware-based, full disk AES 256-bit data encryption in XTS mode. That means no software or hardware drivers are needed on the host device. The drive measures 80mm x 20mm x 10.5mm(drive with sleeve) and 78mm x 18mm x 8mm (drive without sleeve). The drive is Water and Dustproof, as it comes with IP57 rating.
