Kawasaki Z900RS launched in India at a price tag of Rs 15.3 lakh

An upgrade to the Z900 in terms of engine and technology, the Z900RS is inspired by the Kawasaki’s classic 1972 made Z1.

Japan-based motorcycle manufacturer, Kawasaki has launched its Z900RS retro-naked roadster in India at a price tag of Rs 15.3 lakh. An upgrade to the Z900 regarding engine and technology, the Z900RS is inspired by the Kawasaki’s classic 1972 made Z1.

Z900RS is powering by a is liquid-cooled, four-cylinder, in-line 948cc displacement engine which is said to generate maximum power of 111 hp at 8500 rpm, compared to the 125 hp of the Z900, with the peak torque of 98.5Nm at 6500 rpm and mated to the 6-speed transmission gearbox.

It rides on the 41mm inverted forks up front and gas charged mono-shock at the rear. The Shockers are equipped with the functionality of rebound damping and spring preload adjustment. On the safety front, the Z900RS comes with 300mm twin discs for the front wheel and a 250mm disc for the rear which are bounded by Anti-lock braking system (ABS).

Concerning design, motorcycle gets round headlamp with the 17-litres teardrop-shaped fuel tank, radial-mounted brake callipers and slip-assist clutch and much more. Inspired by Z1, the Z900RS spots a flat seat with a four-into-one exhaust setup of the more retro-naked look of the Z900RS.
