Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, Kawasaki has introduced a new member to its Ninja Sports bike series in India. Dubbed as the Ninja 400, the machine is launched at a price tag of Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The dealers across the country have started taking the booking for the motorcycle with the token amount of Rs 50,000, which will be available starting mid-June.
Powered by the 399cc displacement, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke parallel twin Fuel Injection engine, which is capable of generating maximum power of 49 PS at 10,000 rpm, with the peak torque of 38 Nm at 8000 rpm. The bike is mated to a 6-speed transmission gearbox.
The new Ninja 400 comeswrapped with a sharp styling (Picture Gallery), which is claimed to deliver better performance than its predecessor, Ninja 300. Equipped with a redesigned chassis, which is said to make the bike more stronger and lighter by 6 Kg with predictable handling.
The sports bike rides on 41mm telescopic fork suspension at the front and a Unitrack mono-shocker at the rear, For safety, the Ninja 400 comes with a 310mm front disc brake and 220 mm petal disk with Nissin callipers and ABS.
As far as dimensions are concerned, the Ninja 400 measures 2020 mm in length, 710 mm in width and 1120 mm in height. The rider sits at the height of 785 mm with the ground clearance of 140mm.
