After launching three quad core Android smartphones, S1, S2 and S5, Karbonn is getting ready to launch another.
Pardeep Jain, managing director of Jaina Group, which owns Karbonn Mobiles, said to The Mobile Indian,”In June we will be launching a 5 inch smartphone with HD display for Rs 19,900. It will run on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.”
He further added, “On the processor front it will have a quad core processor and will be very slim. It will also support a 13 Megapixel camera.”
The last quad core smartphone launched by the company was Karbonn Titanium S5. It had a 5 inch qHD (540 x 960 pixel) display, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 1 GB of RAM, and was running on Android Jelly Bean with OS version 4.1.2. It was pitched directly against the Micromax Canvas HD A116.
In the camera department the phone had an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. Karbonn Titanium S5 also sported a 2000 mAh battery.
