Karbonn is all set to launch a new smartphone with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system soon. Purportedly named as Karbonn A24, the handset is to come at an expected retail price of Rs 11,000, sources familiar with the launch plan have confirmed to The Mobile Indian.
The Karbonn A24 will come with a 4.5 inch qHD (960 x 540 Pixels) IPS panel display, a 1.2 Ghz dual core processor. The phone would also have dual cameras – an 8 Megapixel camera with flash at the back and a VGA unit in the front.
Looking at the specification, the model seems to be an upgraded version of the Karbonn A21 with better camera and latest operating system.
Rest of the specification is not known, but it will offer all the regular Android smartphone features like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, proximity and gravity sensor etc.
We hope that Karbonn puts 1 GB RAM in the phone and a large battery. The phone will compete with the likes of recently launched Spice Stellar Virtuoso Mi 495, iBall Andi 4.5H, Intex Aqua and Salora Powermaxx. And apart from the Android 4.1, none of the known specification of Karbonn A24 exceeds that of these phones.
The phone is expected to be launched next one or two weeks.
