American automobile manufacturer, Jeep has launched a new special edition of its Compass SUV. Dubbed as the Bedrock Edition, itis introduced to celebrate the milestone of selling 25,000 units in India. At a price tag of Rs 17.53 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the machine is based on the SUV’s sports trim, which will only be available in the diesel engine.
Starting with the cosmetic changes, the new Bedrock Edition will come with Vocal White, Minimal Grey and the Exotic Red paint jobs. Further, the Bedrock’s logo decals can be seen on the bottom of the doors, the 16-inch alloy wheels get the new black-finished highlights, black roof rails and the Bedrock badging on the side fenders.
Inside the cabin, one will find the 5-inch infotainment system, which can even work as the reverse parking camera with the dynamic guidance support. Other than this, Limited Edition also features the Bedrock-badged seat covers and the new floor mats
Powered by the 2.0-liter diesel engine, which will chunk out the maximum power of 173 PS with the peak torque of 350 Nm. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with the driving configuration of 4×2, which means the SUV only supports the front wheel drive.
As far as safety is concerned, the Bedrock SUV comes with the dual-front airbags, ABS Anti-lock Braking System with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), stability and traction control, four-wheel disc brakes, power adjust and folding wing mirrors and an electric parking brake.
