Jabra, a major player in Bluetooth hands free market, has launched a new in-car Bluetooth speaker, called the Jabra Tour. It works with Apple’s Siri voice assistant application as well.
Users just have to click a button on the speaker to activate Siri on their iPhone, which can then take voice instruction to get things like driving directions or making a calendar entry done without having to take their eyes off the road.
Priced at Rs 6,499, the Jabra Tour comes in black colour with silver accents. Users can clip it onto the sun visor. It comes with a motion sensor system which automatically turns it on and off when users enter or leave their cars.
Ann Goh, Jabra head of sales, South Asia, consumer solutions division, said, “As users continue to move towards mobility, the new Jabra Tour focuses on providing the mobile workers a complete handsfree experience by combining intuitive design and latest Bluetooth technologies, allowing them to focus on the road and stay connected in a safe and professional way.”
The handsfree comes with a 3-Watt speaker and features noise cancellation to cut down on the ambient noise. Though the speaker also comes with HD voice technology but it will be of no use in India as no operator here offers high definition voice calling.
Some other features of the speaker includes ability to stream audio directions directly from a GPS App in smartphone, announces caller ID during incoming calls. The speaker has a large volume button and a dedicated mute button for ease of use.
