Mobile and PC accessory maker Jabra has launched its first wireless portable speaker called Solemate. The Bluetooth stereo wireless speaker connects to multimedia devices like mobile phones, tablets or MP3 players through either Bluetooth, a 3.5 mm audio cable or a USB cable.
The Jabra Solemate is claimed to give strong, deep bass from an integrated subwoofer and rich, vibrant acoustics from dual tweeters.
The speaker output is 120 dB SPL, and is about the size and weight of a 500 ml soda bottle. In case you want to use the speaker through a cable, there is a cable management solution in its non-slip rubber sole base to securely store a 3.5 mm audio cable.
There is also a strap to easily carry the speaker. The speaker is sweat, dust, splash and shock resistant, and Jabra is also offering a sand and rain resistant sound bag that is completely muffle-free. The speaker comes with inbuilt battery with up to 8 hours of claimed music playback, and you also get voice guidance and LED lights to display battery status.
The speaker is priced at Rs 10,990, which is close to what Nokia charges for its Nokia Play speakers. The device comes with one year local warranty.
