Is this the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6C?

With Redmi Note 5 coming soon, Xiaomi seems to be taking this bezel-less trend quite seriously.

2017 has been the year of near bezel-less 18:9 displays. However, the trend didn’t really show up in the mid-range and budget smartphones segment. We did see the likes of LG Q6 and Micromax Infinity, but they didn’t really impress us in terms of overall performance. With Redmi Note 5 coming soon, Xiaomi seems to be taking this bezel-less trend quite seriously. Another mysterious Xiaomi smartphone has now been spotted on the internet, as reported by GizmoChina. We are not really sure what smartphone it can be, but sources suggest that this could be the recently rumoured Mi 6C.

Going by the leaked picture, the device certainly doesn’t look bezel-less but is certainly the Redmi Note 5 as the bezels on this one appear to be a lot shrunk. We have a at the bottom, dual speakers and a metal body housing the entire package. Adding to this, the price point which is tipped for the device is anywhere around 1,499 Yuan (approx Rs 14,600) which means this will be yet again an affordable smartphone.

If we talk about other rumours, the Mi 6C is all set to go live next month in China. We are quite skeptical of the India launch given that Xiaomi skipped the Mi 6 for the Indian market. Besides, Mi 6C is expected to come with Xiaomi’s own Surge S2 which is an octa-core based on the 16nm process and clocked at 2.2 GHz for four Cortex-A73 and 1.8 GHz for four Cortex-A53 cores. Complementing the will be Mali G71MP8 GPU. The device will also support 2.1 flash memory.

If we talk about other rumours, the Xiaomi Mi 6C will come with a double-sided 2.5D curved glass design. For the camera, the Xiaomi Mi 6C is also said to feature a dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX386 CMOS sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. We are yet to get our hands on any concrete rumours, but we expect the Mi 6C to come with 4GB and 6GB RAM variant. Also, we would suggest you to not hold the name seriously as the device might be called as Xiaomi Mi 6X.
