Apart from recently leaked LG G6, LG is reportedly working on another device named – LG V5. In the latest round of leaks, fresh image renders of the device are now being surfaced online, thanks to famous leakster @onleaks. However, the spec sheet is still a mystery but Phonearena has revealed some of the specifications. Moreover, though the price is not known at this point of time but we expect it to be below Rs 20,000.
As per the image renders, LG V5 appears to come with a polycarbonate design as against the standard metallic design we are habitual of seeing nowadays. Further, the back panel slides towards one edge which does give a unique look when seen from the side. This is similar to what we saw on Google Pixel where the top of the device is thicker than the bottom. Apart from this, the side frame appears to be of metal and as per the report, the device from LG measures at 148.65 x 75.30 x 7.5/8 mm. Moreover, based entirely on the video, the smartphone is likely to sport a 5.3-inch or a 5.5-inch display with no information about the resolution. LG V5 will retain the conventional microUSB as against the trending USB Type-C port. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is there as well and the device also features a fingerprint scanner at the back paired with what appears to be speaker grill at the bottom left.
Adding to this, in a recent launch of LG V20 in India, The Mobile Indian spotted Amit Gujral, (Head – Marketing and Product Planning, LG Electronics) saying that the mobile handset manufacturer is planning to release a smartphone in mid-range segment sometime in Q1 next year. Well, this might be the LG V5.
Nevertheless, if true, it will be surprising to see LG add a mid-range smartphone in the famous ‘V’series which was up till now known for powerful flagship devices.
Is this the new mid-range smartphone from LG?
Though the price is not known at this point of time but we expect it to be below Rs 20,000.
