Update 09/03/2023: In an interview with Gadgets360, iQOO India CEO Nipun Maurya confirmed that the iQOO Z7 5G is coming to India on March 21. Maurya also confirmed some of the other specs for the device, including the MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G SoC, an AMOLED display, in-display fingerprint sensor, India’s first 64-megapixel OIS camera system in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment, and 44W Fast charging as well.

iQOO Z7 5G is the upcoming Z-series device from the Vivo sub-brand and there have been a few leaks that have revealed considerable information about the device. Apart from that, what has officially been revealed is the front design of the Z7 5G which comes surprisingly comes with an outdated design, thanks to the water-drop notch. iQOO Z7 5G: India launch date
While the company is yet to officially reveal the launch date for the Z7 5G, a recent report has tipped its expected India launch date which is purported to be March 21. The leak comes from a Twitter user Oneily Gadget who shared the screenshot of a Google search advertisement which shows the launch date of the smartphone as March 21.
iQOO Z7 5G: Design
The iQOO Z7 5G’ rear design was recently revealed in a hazy teaser from iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya. As per that, the iQOO Z7 could feature a rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support while the iQOO branding resides at the bottom centre.

Further, for the front, iQOO India’s twitter account posted a tweet showcasing the device’s display with a water-drop notch and a thick chin. This is a surprising move considering other brands have long moved on from this outdated water-drop notch design and have settled on punch-hole cameras. The right spine of the iQOO device carries a volume rocker and a power key.
iQOO Z7 5G: Rumoured Specifications
While there haven’t been many leaks with regards to specs of the device, it is said that the Z7 5G could have an AMOLED panel in comparison to its predecessor, the Z6, which had an LCD display. Further, it could employ the MediaTek Dimensity 930 Chipset under the hood. As mentioned, it should have an OIS-assisted primary camera sensor.
