iOS navigation app LocalScope updated

LocalScope allows users view the location either on a map, list, or get an augmented reality view.

LocalScope, a navigation available on iOS, has now been updated. The app now comes with a new “Discover” button which in turn takes users to location tagged events on all the major social networks &#151 which includes Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, YouTube, Flickr, Instagram, even Panoramio. Every location tagged event comes with a thumbnail, distance to the location and more.

LocalScope, which was incidentally named as the best navigation app of this year by Apple, combines social media and mapping, adds the major search engines along and lets the users view how different services of the world are actually surrounding them.

Users can search for the nearby area or just search for a term and view the location tagged results either on a map, list, or get an augmented reality view. The viewing options in the app appear on the top right of the screen which allows them to choose either the augmented-reality view or map.
