Intex launches Canvas HD’s rival: Aqua Wonder Quadcore

It is powered by the same processor which is being used in the popular Micromax Canvas HD.

As reported by The Mobile Indian earlier, Intex has now launched a new smartphone, called Aqua Wonder Quadcore. It is Intex’s first quad core based handset.

Intex has exclusively tied up with Flipkart.com for the initial sale of the gadget which is available to its customers at a competitive price point of Rs 9,990. As an introductory offer, on purchase of the gadget customers can get a pouch and screen guard for free.

Like the Micromax Canvas HD, the Intex Aqua Wonder comes equipped with the MediaTek MT6589 quad core processor. Besides, Intex Aqua Wonder runs on the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system but has only 512 RAM. It sports a 4.5 inch capacitive touchscreen with IPS panel screen technology with qHD (960×540 pixels) resolution.

Aqua Wonder has also 1.93 of internal memory that is expandable upto 32 GB. The phone has an 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with a 2 megapixel front camera for video calling. Other key features of Aqua Wonder include capability, WiFi and 1800 battery that claim a talk time of 3.5 hours and about 3 days of standby time. The handset is equipped with four – Gravity, Motion, Light and Proximity – and supports Auto Call Recorder.

Commenting on the launch of its quad-core phone, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, general manager – mobile business, Intex Technologies said, “The newly launched Aqua Wonder quad core smartphone is a step towards empowering consumers in semi-urban towns and cities with cutting technology at an affordable price.”

Other notable features of the phone include GPS, 4.0, Flip-mute, pattern lock security, face lock and FM radio.

Earlier, Intex had also told The Mobile Indian to launch more quad core phones in the price bracket of Rs 10,000-15,000 towards the end of April.
