Intex has added a new member to its Aqua series with the launch of Aqua Young 4G in India. Priced at Rs 5,549, the smartphone will be available in champagne gold and blue colour variants, though the availability is not known at the moment.
To start with, the device comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display with screen Resolution of 480×854 pixels. Under the hood, there is a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6737M Processor along with Mali T720 MP1 GPU. The phone is backed by a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
On the camera front, the Aqua Young 4G sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with Brodsands BLX5506Z sensor, Aperture f/2.4 and LED flash. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is juiced up by a 2800mAh battery which the company claims gives a Standby time up to 200 hours on GSM mode.
On the connectivity front, the Dual-SIM device supports 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio and Micro USB port. The phone measure 143.2 x 72.4 x 1.3 mm and weighs 179 grammes.

Previously, Intex also announced that its in-house digital wallet service known as Intex MyWallet application is now available on Google Play Store. The application is free to download and is in line with government’s vision for making India a cashless economy.
The company has partnered with Tata mRupee to launch the digital payment service in October last year. Through the mobile wallet, users will be able to send and receive money. One can also make payment across various segments including recharging the phone to paying utility bills like postpaid, gas, electricity, DTH, landline, data card etc. The wallet also allows users to book Railway tickets through IRCTC and other entertainment bookings through various gift voucher and coupons.
