Intex has released a new dual-SIM smartphone – Aqua i5 mini which compliments the current Aqua i5 being sold for about Rs 10,000 roughly. The new Aqua i5 mini offers a 4.5-inch display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek mobile processor. Intex plans to sell the Aqua i5 mini in India for Rs 6,850 through resellers, hypermarkets and e-commerce portals.
Intex Aqua i5 mini joins club of budget smartphones by offering 4.5-inch IPS display sporting 854×480 pixel resolution. This smartphone is powered by a quad-core 1.3 Ghz MediaTek MT6582 mobile Processor coupling Mali 400 GPU for graphics. Intex has packed 1 GB RAM and offers 4 GB on-board storage. Out of that, only 1.69 GB is available to user but one can always add up to 32 GB microSD card in the memory slot.
The Intex Aqua i5 mini runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean by default. It offers 8 megapixel camera at th e back with LED flash and auto focus. In the front is a 2 megapixel front facing camera. This dual-SIM smartphone is capable of supporting one 3G network SIM module in one of the slots. Other notable features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Support, and GPS with A-GPS.
Intex has loaded two games – The Avengers and Chennai Express on this smartphone. Decent enough to play casual games, the Aqua i5 mini packs 1500 mAh battery which may not be enough for a dual-SIM device.
