Intex, which recently launched Sailfish OS based Intex Aqua Fish, is now reportedly planning to launch a smartphone with Cyanogen operating system.
As per 91Mobiles, the phone will be called as Intex Aqua Cyano and will be launched in May this year for about Rs 8,000.
Quoting its sources, the website claimed that the Aqua Cyano will have 5 inch HD display, 1.3 GHz quad core processor, 2 GB RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, micro SD card slot, 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera, dual SIM and a 2500 mAh battery. Besides, as per the report, the Intex Aqua Cyano will have WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Moreover, the website said that the phone will come with Android Lollipop based Cyanoge 12.1 version but but will be upgradable to Android Marshmallow based Cyanogen 13.1 version later.
In 2014, Micromax’s Yu got the sole right to sell Cyanogen based devices in India. This Yu-Cyanogen partnership forced OnePlus to stop selling its Cyanoge based devices in India. So does that mean Yu-Cyanogen partnership has ended? Well, we don’t know anything about that right now but we will surely update you as and when more information emerges.
