Users will then be able to choose from three sections – Popular, Moods and Genres. Inside the popular section, Instagram will display a list of hit Indian songs as well as some international songs. Moods will let users select songs ranging from Love songs, Bold, Inspirational, Suspenseful, Party, Fun, Upbeat, Mellow, Dreamy and Romantic.

Instagram also allows users to choose music from different genres including Rock, Electronic, Classical, Reggae, Pop, Hip Hop, Ambient, Cinematic and Latin. For now, the also lets users choose Hindi, Indian pop, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi and Marathi songs to ado their stories.

Upon choosing the song, users can opt to display the song in their stories for 5 – 15 seconds and also choose to display lyrics, song image, or change the font or colour.

When viewing a music story, the song will be played automatically as a video content plays on a Story. Users will also be able to check the artist and song info upon tapping on the sticker, which will lead them to the artist’s page or their streaming platforms.

The ‘Music’ feature is also available on Facebook. Instagram Music is rolling out to users updated to version v111.0.0.24.152 or higher.
