Infinix has launched its new S-series smartphone in India today, named as Infinix S5. The smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 and will go on sale on 21st October 12:00 PM exclusively on Flipkart. The device comes in two colour options- Quetzal Cyan and Violet.
The Infinix S5 features a 6.6-inch HD+ Super Cinema (720 x 1,600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with punch hole design,3D glass pattern designon the back, 90.5% screen to body ratio, 70.2% NTSC, 480 NITS brightness and comes equipped with 2.0Ghz octa-core Mediatek’s Helio P22 (12nm) processor. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, with an option to expand the storage up to 256GB via microSD card.
On the camera front, the Infinix S5 comes loaded with an AI Quad rear camera setup with 16-megapixels as the primary sensor,a 5MP Wide lens, Super Macro lens and Depth sensoralong with Quad-LED flash. The camera of the phone is also capable of shooting videos in Wide-Angle mode. The rear camerafeatures include Custom Bokeh, AI HDR, AI Beauty and Panorama modes.
On the front, it has a 32-megapixel AI in-display selfie sensor with Big Pixel technology (4-in-1 pixels) and f/2.0 large aperture. The front camera features include AI Portrait, AI 3D Face Beauty, WideSelfie modes along with AR-enabled Animoji features. Thephone gets the power from a 4000mAh battery with AI power management, that claims to provide 32 hrs Music Playback (Speakers), 111hrs of Music via Headset, 14.7 hrs Video Playback, 13.4 hrs Web Surfing, 11 hrs Gaming, 18.8 hours 4G talk-time and 31 days Standby time.
The Infinix S5 houses a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 9.0 pie based on XOS 5.5. Connectivity options include 3-in-1 card slot (Dual Nano SIM along with a dedicated micro SD card slot), VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and a MicroUSB port.
