Infinix has today announced its first Android One smartphone in India. Dubbed as Infinix Note 5, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM variant, while the 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 11,999. The device will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting from August 31.
The major highlight of this smartphone is that it falls under the Android One programme from Google. This means that the phone will get timely updates from Google as compared to other phones available at this price range. The phone comes loaded with a glass design. Jumping straight to the specifications, the Infinix Note 5 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen Resolution of 2240 x 1080 pixels coupled with 500nits brightness and 80 per cent NTSC colour gamut.
The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P23 octa-core Processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It comes in two memory configurations: 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The memory can be further expanded via microSD card slot. The phone comes equipped with AI features in camera and battery management.

For optics, there is a 12-megapixel rear camera with large 1.25-micron Pixel size and f/2.0 aperture. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 Aperture and dual LED soft flash. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back panel and it will be available in three colour options, including Ice Blue, Milan Black and Berlin Gray.
The phone is backed by a 4500mAh of battery, which the company claims can last up to 2 days on a single charge. Further, there is an 18W fast charger that comes bundled with the phone. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and it delivers the Stock Android experience, all thanks to the Android One programme. On the connectivity front, it features dual 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, GLONASS and Micro USB port.
